A former U.N. weapons inspector charged Friday that in the late 1990's French members of the UNSCOM inspection team actually tried to help Iraq conceal evidence of its weapons of mass destruction program.
"They gave them forewarning of the inspection targets," charged Bill Tierney, a former top U.N. weapons inspector, in an interview with radio host Sean Hannity.
"Once a list of sites were designated to be inspected, the security of that list was paramount," Tierney explained. "And from the Iraqi point of view, their intelligence collection program was very easy. All they had to do was find out what that list was."
Then Tierney charged point blank, "The French would give the list to the Iraqis."
"Anytime the Iraqis would declare something a sensitive site, then only a four man team would be allowed to go in." Tierney said he was normally the American on the designated group, which would also include a French representative.
"I caught (the French representative) whispering to the Iraqis after the list had been briefed to us," Tierney added. He cited another top secret inspection of an Iraqi Scud missile site that had been compromised by French leaks.
There is additional information that I can't go into," the former UNSCOM inspector said, before adding, "It's about time we called the French on it."
Tierney also complained that former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter knew about French attempts to sabotage their work, but has never spoken out about it.

...and I will bet that they find the Germans are involved in other ways!

I heard this interview on hannity.... VERY interesting stuff. The teams had to start using two lists of inspection plans: one for the Frog to leak, and the next for them to actually follow. After a while the Frog caught on, and they started making THREE lists: one to release which the Frog knew was fake, a new fake one for the Frog to think was real, and the third they would actually follow.
Had we known then what we know now, would we have liberated France both times? Hmmmmm.

Bush has enough on his desk right now, vice France and Iraq, to hit them both out of the park. Nothing would make me happier than him 'declassifying' a stack of files for the State of the Union address. We'll see how he choses to play this.

From the Olympics to wars... it looks like whenever there is something smelly going on, The French are always involved.
I wonder if after we take over Iraq for its oil we can take over France for its wine? /sarcasm off

It appears that grounds keeper Willie was right all along!

The Aussies, Spanish, and Italians make as good or better a wine. American and Italian cheeses are better than Frog cheese, too.

It would be helpful to know the french representative's name. It should be easy enough to find from other sources. Was the french rep's actions personal, or at the behest of the French government? (As if I don't know or suspect. . . )

...and I will bet that they find the Germans are involved in other ways! I'm quite sure that the reason the French and the Germans are trying to block our military action, is because, they are very complicit in Iraq's WMD programs.

Why doesn't this surprise me about Scott Ritter? Scott Ritter sold out long ago... Perhaps, as a payoff for not exposing his pedophilia?

Let's all just admit it, the French are not really good for anything anymore. Except of course when one wants to know the proper way to surrender... on that they still have the rest of the world beat.

France is not the only socialist country bottling good wine. There's California, too.

Yeah, maybe, but I can see a malicious little French unionist spitting (or worse) in the wine vats that he knows are destined for the foreign and rich consumers that cause global warming and club baby seals. Monty Python 'got' them just right.

Things are becoming increasingly clear as the rubber nears the road. We are going to find a LOT of equipment labeled "Property of the Fourth Reich" and its subsidiary - Vichy France.
