My thought exactly ... the worst president UNTIL Der Schlickmeister. Clinton was a worse human being, but as a President he was not the worst. When the Republicans came up with good ideas like welfare reform, he plagiarized them but nonetheless got them done. I'm not happy about having had such a dispicable person in the White House, but that doesn't make him the worst President.

You're absolutely right! Now that I think about it, FDR and LBJ were really bad for the country.
It's just that I have such an aversion to Der Schlickmeister that he automatically came to mind!

I disagree. Carter was a awfull president but he was at least a moral person. We are just starting to unravel Clinton's legacy that includes 2 attacks on the WTC, Nuclear reactors to NK, ICBM and submarine silencing technology to the PRC, A-bombs to India and Pakistan. On the economy side we're told his administration cooked the books to deceive the public while golfing with Kenneth Lay - just like Aurther Anderson did to Enron. IMHO Clinton was worse because he intentionally harmed the US in order to become a left wing pop idol. He just plain sucked.
