Hi. Well, there is a huge difference in this case and the other one. For example, there aren't a full cast of characters in this case.

The fibers, dna and blood would naturally occur in her home, so it's gonna have to be better than that.

Then there's more than one "motive" Scott may have for offing her, along with the "girlfriend" and his lack of cooperation and Lies.

Now, if we just had a body..or even another reasonable suspect?

They do have a great multi pronged motive case, indeed. No other reasonable suspects, yet, although a competent would try to pin the blame on an SP girlfriend framing 'poor Mr. Peterson' or doing the deed themselves.

Biggest problem right for LE and DA office now is the lack of a body. If they have some forensic stuff, it will have to be incredible to charge Peterson with murder, without being able to produce the actual dead victims' (plural) bodies.

Good point. That would certainly indicate major injury to Laci, and the DNA would certainly be a match.

Showing my age I, guess. The old fashioned deal of needing to establish ToD, fingerprints for ID, and all the other forensic proof that comes from a body (or major portions thereof). Hats off for your insight.

Initially, both Laci and Scott's families insisted that Scott had no involvement in her disappearance. On January 15, 2003, Modesto Police met with Laci's family and informed them that Scott was having an affair with a woman who lives in the Fresno area. They showed the family a photo of Scott posing with the woman that was dated mid-December, a day that he told Laci he was away on a business trip. Laci's brother, Brent, says that Scott later admitted to this and other affairs. Laci's family cut off communication with Scott and they say he initially lied to them about the affair and possibly other things. They say that Scott's demeanor in the last couple of weeks has been unusual in that he has been playing golf, disappearing for lengthy periods of time, hired a defense attorney, has not been open with them, and met with a realtor about selling the house. Police have not named Scott a suspect.

Scottieboy has gone so far as to deny the mere existance of "the girlfriend", when LE have pictures of him AND taped conversations of him with her after Laci went missing. What nerve!

I wouldn't put it past him to blame Aliens for her abduction. Betcha his parents will be right there, backin him up too.

Not so fast. Scott's father was interviewed last evening, via phone, and didn't seem to know that Scott ADMITTED to an affair. His father tryed to excuse away the photo's and said he "has not talked with Scott about a girlfriend" even tho he talks with him twice a day.

So I don't see where Scott admitted anything within ear shot of his loving father, to say the least. OR else Dad is being less than truthful?
