The paper reports that the dossier contains several indications of cases, where German authorities right up to the Finance Ministry tolerated the illegal arms cooperation and also promoted to it to an extent.

Well, not an unexpected development. The Germans have been WAY too nervous about going inot Iraq. Now we know why.

Dog, as I read the article from the link....I thought I read it before; it's dated "17.12.2002." So, I was already aware of the "first" instance of this whole German charade. What caught my eye was in THIS article:

On Tuesday, the Berlin-based left-wing paper, Tageszeitung reported that aspects of the 12,000-page Iraqi report on Iraq's weapons programs, submitted to the U.N last week, could prove highly embarrassing for Germany.

The date of this post was today.....so, even though they're referring to the older article....it's telling me that there's potentially yet more embarrassing information to come out of this......
