You'd think that a Prime Minister would have a valet, butler, steward or whatever they're called these days to help the guy.

While they get their share of perks, No. 10 is most definitely not the White House. When Margaret Thatcher was PM, the first thing she did every morning before going off to run the free world was to go into the kitchen of No. 10 (which isn't any bigger than yours) to make her husband breakfast, HERSELF.

Kind of off topic but...

The other day the History Channel aired a program about Air Force one. The program included comments from retired Air Force stewards. One guy spoke of the final flight that Nixon took on AF1 on his way out to California. The guy said he went to offer Nixon some words of encouragement; however, Nixon instead told the steward that he needed no encouragement, he'd be okay, rather, he asked the steward to continue serving the new president the same way he'd been served. The steward said he was moved to tears. Nixon also insisted that a group photo of the AF1's crew & stewards be taken. He then thanked all of them and shook their hands.
