When you hit "Latest Articles" what you get is the latest articles posted to the News/Activism forum, not the latest articles posted to FR as a whole. The "chat" section referred to is officially titled the "General Interest" forum. When you go to Latest Articles, the list of forums will be in the upper right corner of the page. From there you can get to all the other articles posted, by clicking each forum name individually.
