BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) ---- An elderly man apparently angered by a law firm's refusal to represent him in an asbestos case opened fire at the firm Thursday, killing a veteran attorney, police said.

And the really insulting thing is HE expects US to pay his way!

I am more than willing to pay MORE because I can afford it so people who cannot afford it can come here and participate. But to say that they make it a HABIT of not paying kind of grates on my nerves.

That being said, IMO, his words are worth exactly what he pays. :-)

I suppose (i'm really taking a stab at this too) the mod who moved it saw the article, read some of it and thought it was a pet/animal thread.

It was about an endangered species in Florida. My guess is that the moderator mistook it for a "sawgrass" thread and it was moved as all sawgrass threads were moved.

Arrogant lawyers, in $3000 suits.... We met with a couple of Texas lawyers in 1988 over a civil matter and their boots cost that much.

The lawyer industry is not about the law. It is about those $3000 boots they use to crush all of our lives, in so many, many ways.
