LOL........oh my. What a trip THAT must have been. So many things we did when we were young and foolish. The Lodge at Crater Lake had a HUGE facelift a couple of years ago but they were able to maintain the interior in all of it's beauty. Not much has changed up there. Was the road AROUND the crater open when you were there?

Yes, the road around the crater was open then, and we drove it with the last gallon of gas we had at dusk. *L* Brilliant. But it was so pretty!
