Glock........Port Orford is beautiful. How soon until you retire? And are you prepared for cool, damp Oregon coast weather? :-)

Rotti...There is a little mtn. store about 15 miles from us...but the items carried are VERY limited and VERY VERY expensive. We have become such good planners, listmakers and shoppers we never have to buy anything there.

We live inland...in the So/Central Cascade Mtns. Have you ever heard of Crater Lake? We live about 30 miles from there. We have lived here approx 15 years total (2 different times). But when hubs retires (about 3 years from now) we will be moving. So we are enjoying our time here immensely.

ME!! ME!! *waving raised hand*
I've been to CRATER LAKE!
Where are my pictures???? hmmm.....
That was a long time ago - before I had kids, back in the days of FILM cameras. Back in the days when I toured the west coast on the back of a motorcycle (I never got to drive it).
We got to the top of Mount Mazama and saw Crater Lake, and it was cold, the sun was going down, and the gas stations closed! The stupid motorcycle ran out of gas... (the motorcycle was stupid??)
Anyway, what to do? Coast downhill and hope to find an open station? NO!
Go to the lodge and get a room? YES! Except the lodge was booked..... so we settled in front of the fire in the lobby and waited for a no-show to not show..
We lucked out - there was a no-show, so we got a room - one with a view right onto the lake, so I saw a beautiful sunrise and took pictures... But where are those pictures???
