When we finally do go to war with Iraq can we take a little detour first and drop a few bombs on the French?

Europe is totally helpless without U.S. support for its security. Now that we need their support for our own security, they leave us out in the cold. We should threaten to withdraw troops and other support.

I was listening to a political analyst on FoxNews tonight who said that the USA does not need another resolution from the UN.

That is correct. And I am "surprised" the other news channels have not mentioned this.

Apparently they are engaging in economic activity with Iraq that is a violation of UN resolutions. And now they attack us for allegedly not respecting the UN. The French are truly messed up.

Why aren't there fireworks displays anymore at EuroDisney?

Every time they had them in the past, thousands of Frenchmen would try to surrender.

We need to start cutting expenses anyway. :) The UN sounds like a great place to start. Then we can go on to the aid we are sending to countries who do not support us.

Chirac and Schroeder both hate Pres. Bush, for them this is a matter of personality conflict. During their last elections, the Germans mouthed-off, and since then they have gotten the cold shoulder from the US - as someone else on this thread says - payback is a bitch. France is acting true to form in the same manner it has since we liberated their country from the Nazis. You would think that after 50 or 60 years with their attitude toward the US that a significant portion of the French people (certainly their political leadership) resents the US liberation of their country and would have preferred occupation and full integration with the Nazi regime. In terms of geopolitics, Chirac and Schroeder hold enough power to disrupt Bush's effort or at least make the US pay a big price in terms of world opinion for our action in Iraq. Furthermore, Chirac and Schroeder are themselves small men, and are petty enough to use their power in this way.
