My guess is that someone who knew the story, possibly one of the cops, got tired of seeing Ritter badmouthing the US on chanel after chanel. The story is still not being widely broadcast though. I think Fox was the only cable network that carried it today. For some reason, Drudge is not carrying it.

Good point. I know I'm tired of seeing him bad-mouth the US all over the place. If I had known about this, I would have "outed" him, too! ;o)
