Hamza...said he would have to be "put in prison" before he stopped preachingI believe if he were to assume room temperature, he would also stop preaching.

"A stun gun, blank-firing replica firearm and CS gas canister"
A pretty sorry collection of weapons.

"A stun gun, blank-firing replica firearm and CS gas canister" hardly qualify as weapons -- except to the English.
Conducting non-productive raids like this simply causes people to sympathize with the mosques. Or is that the idea? Sometimes I wonder about Tony Blair (F.O.B.)??!!

Those aren't weapons.

The cleric at the North London Central Mosque, radical preacher Sheikh Abu Hamza, told the BBC there had been "a clear desecration".How can you call disinfecting a sewer a desecration?

Police also said a large quantity of documents - including passports, identity cards and credit cards - were recovered Sounds like a productive raid. Hopefully additional intelligence can be gathered...
Police insisted the raid was carried out sensitively, and said they had not entered parts of the mosque used for prayer
Not necessary at this time, but perhaps in the future, depending on what is discovered among the documents siezed. Never can tell what was being stored in those areas "used for prayer" - Baby Milk, perhaps? I seem to recall there being a lot of Baby Milk factories in Iraq.

But...but...but...I thought weapons were illegal in England. Maybe they need more gun control laws...

I'm less concerned about the 'weapons' than this statement:
Police also said a large quantity of documents - including passports, identity cards and credit cards - were recovered.
Can someone please explain to me why there would need to be such documents present in the first place?
