Hey there snippy -
Yes, I saw the big "I Love You Christy" on one of Brian's posts - I was overwhelmed and speechless to find out that he had posted a tribute to me - what an honor, especially coming from him -
The care package will be well-appreciated, trust me. I am going to be sending packages myself as often as possible - but every bit of support helps. Thank you again!

If only every woman could have someone like you as a husband - to be this loved is beyond anything that words can say, but I still want to tell you this - I am so very proud of you and the fact that you are serving our country to protect our freedom, and also to say that Brian: I LOVE YOU TOO!

Thanks for stopping by the Tarawa tribute thread. Perhaps we should add that into the information for your upcoming thread. I want lots of care packages going out to the Tarawa!

Hey snippy!
I will be glad to add a link! (You must have been reading my mind....I was just working on it!) :-)

Cut it out you two.
My husband and I are just recovering from suffering through two weeks of the krud
(we call it that because no one knows what it really is, we had it two weeks 'cause we like to share)
and we are out of tissues!
:=)

I don't suppose I'm going to get a preview...hmmm.
To: snippy_about_it
LOL....if you insist....but most have opted to be "surprised."
I'll leave it up to you. If you'd like a preview, it should be ready this weekend. Because of my work schedule, I can only work on the layout a couple of hours each night.
As a matter of fact, I'm "turning in" in a few minutes. I have a 4:30 a.m. wake-up on workdays.

Okay, okay, you've guilted me into waiting to be surprised. Good night.

Hope both of you feel better soon - and surely you can't blame me for letting everyone know just how much my husband means to me - :) Besides, everyone enjoys a good love story...

True, I can't blame you, but I don't need added sniffles. LOL.
Be forwarned that FR can be addicting. Of course with two children I am sure they keep you busy enough to stay off the computer.
In my case, my computer is in the family room with a view of the tv, kitchen and dining area so my husband at least thinks I'm paying attention.
I've been happily in love with my hubby for over 27 years so I know what you mean, it's wonderful to find your true love.
BTW, I married young. :)
To: snippy_about_it
Addicting is an understatement - but even when I do get a few moments to myself, checking out FR is quickly becoming a habit - even if the computer is upstairs :)
27 years is wonderful and quite an accomplishment these days - more power to the both of you! And yes, I have found my true love in Brian - I can't even begin to express how much he means to me. I don't like being separated from him, even if it is for such a good cause, but I also understand and support what he has to do to keep this country safe. I look forward to his homecoming!!

I thought we should post these to the Tarawa tribute thread.
TARAWA (LH-1) PHOTOS from it's current deployment
Here are some pics of some evolutions:
A harrier taking off, and some pics of our VERTREP (Vertical Replenishment) - some helo's transfer mail, food, supplies, etc... from one ship to another.

I have some good photos taken today from a helo while we are all in formation. We also launched 3 of our LCAC's to include in the formation. The USCGC Boutwell, USS Duluth, USS Rushmore, and USS Tarawa (along with the 3 LCAC's) are in the shot. There are 15 total pictures and I can only send one at time, so bear with me..... I'm sure Tonk will appreciate the Coast Guard shots! Brian
