How would you fight the charges? Cops are all the witnesses, and you have no evidence to prove your innocence at all. Fight with WHAT? (This is why stings, especially of this type should be illegal)

As would I, but he has a wife and kids - perhaps emotional blackmail was the game.
I don't pay blackmail. Ever. And those close to me know it, so it can never be done to me.
