We always have small numbers but what we have is quality.
They got away protesting VietNam with no counter protesting. No this time.

Just look at who these people are: old hippies, professors, mush from colleges, union thugs, religious nuts.

WHY THE WEAK NUMBERS????

Many reasons -- among them...

• Conservatives have JOBS -- the weekends are the only time to run errands and spend time with family -- we live only 4 hours from D.C. -- but we're in the process of renovating our home -- our weekends are very busy right now
• As Ari Fleishcer said the other day (paraphrasing)-- the people who support the President are not the type to be out marching and screaming at TV cameras
• Fear -- FReepers are from all walks of life -- some are elderly, some have young kids, they are afraid to go to rallys because some of the anarchist types might get out of hand
• Money -- FReepers have to go it on their own, find transportation/pay parking fees/pay for their lunch, and for the equipment -- Unions and other "agenda" groups often pay people to go to protests, they also handle the rental fees for port-a-potties, stages, transportation, etc.
• Look at the folks at the anti-war rally -- aging hippies, young kids with more bucks than brains, anarchists, queers (their word, not mine), fringe people, Pro-Palis/Pro-Hezbollah...these aren't "regular" people like you find here on FR
• Brains -- we can see the big picture, we know this is not war for oil, we understand the danger Saddam poses to US and the world ... but we also know that trying to explain it to the anti-war dorks (or the biased news media) is an exercise in futility

Because people like you were on your keyboard and not there on the ground. You'd rather harumph from the warm confines than be on the front lines.
