If you've ever read "The Stranger Beside Me" by Ann Rule, even Rule herself was totally conned by killer Ted Bundy. (Rule is the mistress of true crime stories.) She worked with him at the Suicide Hotline center, and he was so concerned that she get to her car safely....he was so kind to the suicide callers....he was such a nice boy.

It took her FOREVER to finally accept he was a monstrous serial killer. Even after he was jailed.

When I first heard about the girlfriend, I thought maybe she didn't know him that well. But after a while, wouldn't any person in their right mind wonder why their boyfriend never showed her his house or gave her his home phone number? I mean, if he was always going to her place or seeing her on trips, after a while she should have been a little suspicious.
