It's not like microsoft has a good security record for all the billions they say they have spend on Win32 dev...

Tell me something: How much is the collective time that open source developers contribute to their individual projects worth? A billion dollars? Zero dollars? And for all that cost, Linux is no more secure than Windows (Most Unsecure OS? Yep -- it is Linux!)

The aberdeen report is nonsense. Their count for Linux counted the same problem repeatedly when it was present in different distrbutions, and included application vulnerabilities with OS vulnerabilities (Linux distibutions usually include thousands 0f apps).

My firewall detects windows attacks almost evry day -- it has yet to detect a Linux attack.
