Examining a supposed chemical warhead without the benefit of some type of protective equipment seems a little fool hearty to me.

This is outside my area of expertise,but I'd be willing to bet none of these warheads have ever been filled,and that's why they aren't worried about handling them. I don't think there is any safe way to disassemble a chem or bio warhead once it has been filled. They just destroy them whole.

Destroying the entire assembly, less explosives, is usually the accepted practice. That is the reason for the incinerators being built at Bluegrass Army Depot, Anniston Army Depot and other locations.
