A reletive of mine owns a small business, he has been sued many times.
Once by a pot head who bought a lawn mower and severed his big toe while under the influence. The funniest part of that suit was the guy said he lost consortium due to losing a big toe.
Another by a guy who tripped over a rug and another by the wife of a lawyer who accused my reletive of slander for mentioning that he remembered the woman because she had brought back a light bulb.
Every one of those lawsuits were frivoulous, IMHO, and caused my reletive great anguish as well as higher insurance rates.
IMO, the great majoirty of trial lawyers are nothing but economic parasites who do not create wealth and thus do great harm to the economy.
