A film like this will give a mulitiudes of people their first positive exposure to the life, death and resurection of Christ. Hopefully Mel overcome his critics There are a lot of fertile souls out there.

Tough for them rats! If they made good movies and not garbage maybe people would respect them instead of slamming the Hollywood rats all the time. They must feel so LEFT out without impeached to hang out with at the WH. And now they want to attack Mel because they know this movie will destroy all their smears of christians. Liberal Rats are going to be sent back to the stone age and they know it.

Yes it will, and I'm excited about seeing this film. What most people don't understand is that scourging was a common practice in Jesus time. Scourging is litterally beating someone to death. Nailing Jesus to the cross didn't kill him - puncturing him with a spear didn't kill him - the beating he got killed him.

Excoriate means: To tear or wear off the skin.

This had to be the most painful death you could imagine. I think people need to realize this was no ordinary death - this was a terrible sacrifice FOR OUR BENEFIT!!
