That 10% gay figure is false. It was promoted by Kinsey who used a large sample of prisoners in his research. More accurate estimates ussually indicate that between 1 and 3% of the population is gay, but that can vary quite a bit depending on the definition of gay. If you have a very narrow definition of gay, (someone who only has homosexual sex), then you get a very small percentage of the population, (about 1%). If you have a broader definition that number starts to get larger, but the 10% figure is pure BS.

Somewhere I've read also that the suicide rate of teenagers who are gay is also inflated.
