To: motzman
NJ Rinos are interested in personal financial gain. They thought they'd get some 'deals' from their friend McG. Instead, the 'deals' are going to the likes of Toricelli.
Hands Across NJ, with the help of 101.5 cleaned out the entire legislation years ago. We don't have those talk show hosts anymore (they're in CA now) but we need to get EVERY one of these bums OUT OF OFFICE.
To: Coleus
Cole, Remember one important fact.
The only reason NJ has a Republican Party, is because the Politicians don't want to belong to the same party as their hired help.

I would say that too many Republicans are not conservatives - fiscally or socially.

I just got mine today and threw it out in the GARBAGE.
Go Bret Go. Maybe Exit 148's husband is right, Bret should run as an Independent.

Right! It is extremely difficult to overcome the entrenched power structure in the NJ Repub. party. They have proven to be quite fiscally irresponsible, and as Mulshine says, they have handed the Dems a tool with which to bludgeon them.

Yes, those of us who try to make the NJ GOP act more like the national GOP have had an interesting run of it. I will have more to say in the next few weeks.

Looking forward to it. Give me a ping.
I just moved to a more Republican friendly town in NJ so maybe I can do a little more.

LOL! Do tell. The NJGOP is already acting like the national GOP. In case you haven't noticed, federal spending is up 22% over last two years, greatest increase since Watergate era. And that doesn't even count the cost of the Iraq war.

This guy is right on the money.
New Jersey is a hopeless liberal sewer, owned and operated by the teachers' mafia. There is almost zero distinction between the two parties. They are simply rival mobs. And the people there get exactly what they deserve.
To: OldFriend
Hands Across NJ, with the help of 101.5 cleaned out the entire legislation years agoAnd cleaned out Florio as well.
Those were the days.... John and Ken were amazing, and Hands Across New Jersey was like a cry in the wilderness from normal, traditional taxpaying families. But the NJ GOP squandered all that goodwill by getting arrogant. To the New Jersey GOP the whole phenomenon was not a tax revolt but merely a great opportunity to get their own politicians in power. They even managed to alienate that mailman who came up with the idea.
Well, I think I'll go have me a couple of runny eggs.

Remember too that the republicans PROMISED initiative and referendum.......and then the moment they were elected, they said OOPS, SORRY, NOT A CHANCE.
To: Coleus
Nothing can kill the GOP faster than GOP corruption.
To: Coleus
If you're looking for the reason the Republicans are doing so well nationally and so poorly in New Jersey, look no further. Our Republicans govern exactly like Democrats. So why not vote Democratic? THIS is what democrat cheerleaders are reduced to? ROFL! The GOP is great nationally, but the stink here, so you might as well vote for Dems who are just as bad. LOL! Of course, the intelligent alternative is to get better Republicans who act more like the others nationally.

Remember too that the republicans PROMISED initiative and referendum.......and then the moment they were elected, they said OOPS, SORRY, NOT A CHANCE.Yup.
New Jersey is shot. Forget about it.
I hope the national GOP doesn't waste any money there except in Congressional districts where honest, conservative newcomers have a chance. Otherwise they are, for all intents and purposes, handing over money to the scumbags.
To: Teacher317
We tried with Bret Schundler and it didn't work. We have a few good ones, maybe 10 out of 120.
Nice dog.

Bush received over 1.2 million votes in NJ, He dumped Schundler and then Forrester, he may just lose the next election because of that. I suggest that he visits us more often.
