I just phoned both offices in DC, said I was a constituent, known Barbara for many years, and wish them to tell their leadership to stop obstructing the formation of the 108th Congress.
I said they were overdoing it like the Wellstone funeral and their actions were driving democrat voters away. (I actually sounded like a concerned democrat.) Maryland is inaugurating a Republican Governor in less than an hour from now, so Sarbanes and Mikulski know firsthand that even in the People's Paradise of Maryland voters can find the -R- lever.
She is not stupid... I am sure. The advice you gave is too good for them, but right on the money. She is one that might take the advice and is not too shy to tell whoever is running this side show, to knock it off, pronto!
