Washington-AP) -- Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton will join the Senate Committee on Armed Forces.
Clinton, who has already been a member of the Budget and Environment committees, joins the Armed Forces Committee at a time when the United States military faces a possible war with Iraq, a nuclear standoff with North Korea, and the ongoing threat from al Qaida.
The committee's jurisdiction includes all the national security programs at the Department of Defense, as well as the nuclear programs at the Department of Energy.
She is the first New York senator to serve on the committee since it was formed in 1947.
Clinton said now she ``will be better able to support New York's military bases and ensure that New York's defense industry continues to play a significant role in fulfilling the needs of our armed forces.''
New York State is home to a number of important installations, including the military academy at West Point and Fort Drum, where the 10th Mountain Division trains.

Her husband sold us out to the North-Koreans. He almost managed to wreck our military. Thanks to him, we were exposed to terrorism.
I am expecting nothing less from Hellery.
We are doomed.

Jim Bunning really let the state of Kentucky down. With Mitch going to be the Whip we did not need Bunning on the appropriations. He needed to stay on defense. I fear there will be some fallout from his leaving that will seriously effect the economy of Kentucky.

Maybe it's a trap. They know Hillary won't be able to keep any good secrets, so they give her a phoney scoop which promptly gets leaked to the NY times. Next thing comes a pair of chrome plated bracelets for her heinous.
Well, a guy can dream can't he?

I rather not dream about Hellary. Not even my wildest nightmares feature him/her.

with no credentials, no class and hate in her heart, she should NOT BE ALLOWED to sit.
I would not testify with her in the room.

We need General Myers to say "I'm afraid I will not be testifying before the committee as long as the beast is here, because her unauthorized use of FBI files shows her to be a national security risk"
