[history]
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said last night that if the parties did not resolve a dispute over how to split committee funding by early today, he would attempt to appoint Republican committee chairmen and members without resolving the funding issue.

Daschle up to his usual tricks. Why don't the people of SD catch onto this guy and throw him out?!
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
Dashole sounds like the boy in school that was always getting into trouble and being sent to Principals Office.. Only is this case he is refusing to go, and wants to control the school!!

It's clear that Daschle & Dems are trying to be as legally obstructionist as possible - completely dispensing of all the rules of decorum, congeniality..and all that good crap they used to scam the witless Lott. Now that THAT won't work anymore (Frist is no idiot) - their naked, greedy little fist is unshorne for all to see.

As much as this Pis--s us off this is good. The DEMONrats no longer haver Lott to roll over and in the end it will make them look even worse in the publics eye. These tactics are the exact same tactics that lost them the congress in November. Senator Daschle is doing a great job for my side of the congress not his side. :-)

This is exactly what Frist needs, a reason to drop all bi-partisan pretense and get the agenda moving. I seriously doubt any self-respecting, swing voter will hold it against the GOP...

The great thing about Frist, he can sell conservatism to the moderates (aka the fence sitters). He's a good person, and a good guy that makes even the bleeding hearts sick to there stomachs, they wish he was a liberal so bad, it hurts them and causes cancer, they can't make him evil, as much as the media tries, and any attempts to screw him look like the "gee, those evil folks are trying to pull one on that good ole nice fella there". We are going to get our agenda through this year.

Is Frist a Mormon?
To: Claire Voyant
My observations:
Frist is setting some very good precedents with moves like this. He is being forceful and direct and showing the rats there will be consequences.
Daschle knows he is being busted for being the whiny, manipulative obstructionist that he is.
Thank goodness we don't have Lott there caving in on this. We'd be waiting around for months for things to get organized.

the people of SD need to do more than vote him out, they need to recall him

This is the very reason the Demoncrats were really upset over Trent Lott, Daschle could pull his chain and he would react.
Also they, THE DEMONCRATS are still up to their old obstructionist ways and that is what cost them the Senate but they just cant help themselves.
It is a sad day but Daschle and the Demoncrats dont even want to allow their own party members to vote on the Judicial Nominations. Look at it for what it is, Daschle,Kennedy.Clintoon and the likes have a Dictatorship and they dont trust their own members to vote.Think about this and tell me the Demoncrats should not be labeled Communist!

And try him and execute him.

Senator Frist is a Presbyterian.
To: kattracks
The Daschle wants to nullify the November 5th elections results so he can again resume his role as illegitimate Majority Leader.
To: Claire Voyant
This has gotten NO publicity!!! I noticed on one of the Sunday shows (I think it was Wolf Blitzer's), one of the RAT senators called another the chairman of some committee. Blitzer (I think it was Blitzer) "corrected" this to "ranking member."
To: kattracks
Notice Lieberman is peddling the opposite tack: because Lieberman is running, and Dasshole is not.

It really does need MORE publicity though. Frist is on Imus right now, and didn't really explain what the RATS are REALLY doing.

. . . Until an organizing resolution is passed, the committee setup remains as it was in the 107th Congress with Democrats holding the committee gavels and new senators without committee assignments.

"What we had agreed to with a 51-49 breakdown in the 107th Congress is what we ought to agree to with a 51-49 breakdown in the 108th Congress," said Minority Leader Tom Daschle, South Dakota Democrat. "Let's do in this Congress what we did in the last one."
