Lots at stake. Fence straddlers often get impaled. Hope he knows what he is doing... nice call on your part... regarding the affirmative action thing. This runs contrary to powell's position on aa doesn't it?

The Michigan decision is not even a principled decision. He's only asking the Court to throw out Michigan's problem, but he also wants the Court to keep Affirmative Action on the books.

I may be naive but after I met George Bush during the campaign I trust him. What his plan is won't be revealed until after the fact. In the end since no one but me would ever make decisions with which I always agree the best way to judge a President is whether the Country is better off after his time in office than it would have been otherwise.
I think you are right about Powell but Rice is different.
