Thank you. And its a good reason for Bush to stay out of it. If he doesn't and the government supports some half assed new paradim like that, he will later find it impossible to say that such an end run by the Universities is unconsittutional.

The fact that Bush has taken so long to take a stand against racial quotas is a a pretty sad reminder that he isn't really a conservative. Opposing a policy that gives 20 extra points to some because of his skin color and only 12 extra points to someone who gets a perfect score on the SAT should be a no-brainer to a conservative. I don't trust Bush as far as I can throw this house.
