Gary Glitter's song is played all the time. Maybe it's because no one knows who the hell Gary Glitter is and what he did.

I don't see how anyone puts their credit card number in and *accidently* goes into a child porn site either.
Very Winona Ryder of him.

If he legitimately wanted to do research, someone of his notoriety could easily go to the vice division and get an eyeful while an officer gave a running commentary. It would all be very clinical and he'd be totally protected from claims he was some freak.

Maybe. I don't know. I admit I only peripherally knew who Gary Glitter was until the child-porn thing (when they played the song over & over during their reports). I'm not a big coke-sex glam rocker myself. Hey you know, we should do research into the Timelords/The Jam, whatever their name is. They're the Dr. Who theme guys. nah-na-na-na-nah. HEY! nananana..

Last night's reports according to Drudge were that another well-known rocker could be named in this Pete Townshend bust. Look for that.

E online story"Officials said the 57-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had been taken into custody on counts of making and possessing indecent images of children and of incitement to distribute indecent images of children."
Do you think E has it wrong or has the story developed?

Someone named three year lurker freepmailed me and said "he's not guilty".
I emailed Jim Robinson, I mean, he needs to say this in public and not freepmail females on the thread. What a creep!
To: I_Love_My_Husband
That is creepy. Or "anarchistic." (yawn) Some people are very weird, aren't they.

Thank you for your support. It definitely freaked me out. He hadn't even posted here.
The whole subject (PT and what he did) is so creepy, then to get that freepmailed to you. Eeeek!
So if you get anything from that guy, know he's a weirdo. Don't bother opening it.

Many of you are far too eager to believe the worst. Pete Townshend has campaigned against child pornography for some time, now. Then some of you will say, "Of course he has, he's obsessed with it." Pete will say he is appalled by child pornography and some will say, "That's what heroin adicts say, that heroin is awful." Well, guess what, that's what we say, too. He deserves the benefit of the doubt. If the police had any real evidence they wouldn't have released him uncharged.

You're lucky.
Go to Google and type in the word 'lolita' and watch what happens.
You will be shocked.
