We can try to stop terrorist by building huge walls around our borders, but I think we will lose much more in freedom than we will gain in safty.
I prefer the Bush method...strong retaliation for organizations and nations that refuse to keep terrorism in check.
Admittedly we can only retailiate after an attack, but if we strengthen the borders with military and barriers the same people who whine in Orwellian overtones about losing the freedom to carry toenail clippers on airplanes will complain about the loss of their freedom to travel at will.

Securing our borders would NOT take away U.S. citizens rights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just the opposite, it would help protect them!!!!!!!

Somehow we managed to keep them out prior to the 1960's or so. How about a simple policy of no immigrants from arab countries unless they have jobs, are sponsored by citizens, etc.?
How about throwing them out when they over-stay their visas?

There is no "freedom to travel at will" across International Borders. Which is exactly the point, it's Illegal. The "Freedom to Travel at will" applies to State to State travel, which is really taking a beating right now. Think about it. Blackbird.
