Many of Egypt's Muslim Women Turn to the Veil

If you say that babe looks "HOT' in that veil, it could be taken one of two ways.

Veil, loose silky robes, or baggy sweat pants and t-shirt; they're probably experiencing that "middle-age spread" and trying to conceal it. Big deal, who cares, forget you.

Most of the Egyptian women in my neighborhood wear the veil, although I haven't seen any burkhas.

Personally, I am less offended by the fat, 5-10 children each Arab "women" wearing veils in my nabe than their husbands, who refuse to wear deoderant and instead, wear a bottle of cologne. GROSS!

Why we let these people into our country to ruin our neighborhoods I have no clue. I have lived among blacks, Colombians, Chinese, Jews, etc., yet I have never had a major problem with any of them. The Arabs are a different story.

Travis, when you do go off, I hope I'm there to see it. They are indeed driving and security risks. In many cities, it is a violation to wear a disguise or costume in public for these very reasons. If they want to cover up, they should be obliged to stay at home and have their "man" do all their driving and shopping for them.

Even aside from the security (guns, bombs) aspects and safety aspects (driving) I am mainly revolted by the moral aspect.

What if someone did drag around a black man by his chained neck, but when asked the cringing black man said, "oh no, I'm not a slave, I can quit anytime. I just like having this chain around my neck, it makes me feel safe and secure." And he said this all while his master was glaring at him and holding the other end of the chain. Would we say "oh fine, just another quaint custom, we respect your choice in our multi cultural society."

A woman in a head to toe black birqua is just as much a slave as the black man with the chain around his neck.

Poor idiots. The men (and I use the term loosely) in that type of society seem like insecure cowards with a passive-agressive complex (my lay psychology, not a professional analysis) who are very insecure and take their frustration and anger out on their women. Genital mutilation, cultural repression, violence, rape and similiar heinous acts are their way to 'deal' with it.

The poor women aren't allowed to be themselves and have the false illusion that a 'veil' will protect them (since I guess their p*ssy-&ssed 'men' won't) while they walk (since they can't drive) down streets in bad neighborhoods.

What is so hard about understanding one's right to defend one's self and the concept of 'An armed society is a polite society.'? Oh, I know. You can't control independent, self-sufficient people as well as you can control sheeple morons.

I agree with you. The veiled Arab women ARE slaves and treated as such. When I see them on the Munich subways or out in public here in Germany, they are usually cowering and walking two steps behind the men. Most of these Arab women look miserable and overweight, because they can't go out and do sports activities or work out at a gym. Health care workers here say Arab women constantly get bad ear infections because the veils prevent fresh air from circulating in their ear canals.

The Muslim culture is just plain PRIMITIVE. The irony is that these "modest women of cover" are raising the Muslim men who commit about 98 percent of the robberies here, in addition to all sorts of illegal terrorist activities! I should know, because a Muslim man stole my purse here last year. There were over 20,000 photos of Muslim male criminals in the Munich police registry when I had to go in and try to identify a photo of the thief who stole my purse.

Can someone please explain to me why Muslim women who feel compelled to comply with the hijab dress code are so praised by the liberal, Western press, but when Christian or Orthodox Jewish women decide to dress modestly they are denigrated and ridiculed by the same liberal media?

They only like "reformed" Jews whose Jewishness is restricted to buying Streisand records and skipping bacon cheeseburgers on Yom Kippur, and they only tolerate "mainstream" Christians whose Christianity is restricted to Sunday mornings and running fund-raisers for liberal causes.
