people who have southern accents are dumb

Or is it that all dumb people have Southern accents? Seems odd that the Left's beloved ex-resident had a Southern accent, and yet he was alleged to be the smartest man on earth. And Jimmuh Cahtuh is next in line for canonization, according to his sycophants. Let's not talk about Lyndon Johnson or Robert Byrd.

Apparently the stereotype of the drawling Southern yokel is as selective as the rest of the Left's iconography.

"Apparently the stereotype of the drawling Southern yokel is as selective"

As selective as all blacks are enlightened except for Clarence Thomas and Colin Powell.

As selective as all hollyweird persons are cool except Arnold Schwartzeneger and Charleton Heston.

As selective as Bush leads an evil empire but Nelson Mandela is a saint??

Jimmy Carter was a scientist who couldn't even pronounce the word "nuclear" (the left tries to portray President Bush as the only one, let alone President, to ever mangle that word).

Let's not talk about Lyndon Johnson or Robert Byrd.

Oh, let's. How about on the next season of the Real World we move Robert Sheets Byrd in with a bunch of minority youth. Be sure to educate them on his bio with information on his KKK membership (and recruting) and his statement on not wanting black men serving in the armed forces.

Mr. Byrd sent a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo of Mississippi, a notorious segregationist, vowing that he would "never submit to fight beneath that banner (the American flag) with a Negro by my side," according to a letter discovered by author Graham Smith and published in a book, "When Jim Crow Met John Bull." Added Mr. Byrd in his letter to Bilbo: "Rather I should die a thousand times, and see old Glory in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours be degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds." Asked about this letter back in 1999, Mr. Byrd did not dispute the quote, and said he was ashamed of it.
