(Let A=B, and B=1. Then AB=AA, AB=A(^2), AB-B(^2)=A(^2)-B(^2), B(A-B)=(A+B)(A-B), B=A+B, A=0.So 1=0.)

AB-B(^2)=A(^2)Actually this is an incorrect statement sunce if one substitutes for each of the terms one comes out with (1*1) - 1(^2) = 1(^2). By resoloving a term we get the following equation 1 - 1(^2) = 1 (^2) Since 1 (^2) is equal to 1 we get the following 1 - 1 = 1 which is false.
Nice joke math though.

B(A-B)=(A+B)(A-B), B=A+B, A=0.So 1=0
Actually,
B(A-B)=(A+B)(A-B)
==> either B=A+B or A-B=0
==> either A=0 or A=B
That is, it needn't be true that A=0 so long as A=B.

You divided by zero. Shame on you.

General,
It is always stipulated when solving for a variable that the divisor is not equal to 0. It tends to give some very odd answers.
