As big of a fan of tax cuts as I am, the key to growth is fostering the growth of small businesses, and unless we do something about the burden of government regulation over small business, the economy is not going to take off.

Would you buy a car with the promise of zero financing if the dealer was threatening to change the terms of the deal and charge high interest payments next year? That is what Tom Daschle threatens nearly every day.Tommy Daschle is the Wrong Man for the Wrong Job at the Wrong Time.
Everything he says is OBSCENE.
My solution: Pass Bush's plan 100%. Offset the "cost" by taxing all democRATs 10% more. They love high taxes.

Mr. Moore had better re-check the national debt...
Moreover, the federal government is now $150 billion in debt. There is no revenue available to "share."
The actual figure is in the trillions. Growth is the only way to pay it down. Stimulating the economy is a fine idea. I'm always for tax cutting. Now if we could go the whole hog and cut some federal regulations, agencies, and other pork we might actually regain a bit of Freedom.

If President Bush can secure the votes needed to pass this bold Reaganite package of tax-rate reductions, it will almost surely help the flagging stock market and the ailing economy and therefore nearly guarantee his re-election in 2004. The stakes are that large. A true Reaganite package of tax cuts would surely help the stock market and the economy, not almost surely.
