Sen. Robert Byrd, D-WV, told protesters this week that he wasn't sure whether his boss had helped lynch any African-Americans when the top Senate Democrat was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940's.

Give me a fricken break. Many people here are just mad becuase Lott got the boot. I swear to Christ this place looks more like du every day.

Many people here are mad about the hypocrisy whereby the Dems tar and feather Lott, while their grand poohbah and King of Pork's notorious past is ignored. Few here had any regard for Lott; it's the double standard that infuriates.
