Something has been bugging me. Throughout this whole thing we have been asking the iraqis to prove that they do not have something. I am not so sure they can prove they don't have something.

By this point, I think we are going to whack them no matter what. My point is a more academic one: I was taught many years ago that you cannot prove a negative. That is, you cannot prove you did not do something--therefore the supposition of innocence in a trial.

If you ask a country to prove that something doesn't exist, the only way you can do that is by going in an trying to find it. If the country allows that, and you cannot find it...how can we "prove" that they have it.

In the end the only reason we KNOW he has these weapons, is because we gave them to him. But, very few are saying that--and those who reported it a couple of weeks ago did not seem to connect the dots.
