Huh? I don't know anyone that counts on CDs for anything other than a place to park cash short-term...That surprises me. Maybe it's an age thing or an economic status thing. My Roth IRA is in CDs, as are all of necessary savings to supplement my pension. Putting money you absolutely need somewhere safe (it's FDIC insured) is not a bad plan.
