Amidst all the constant mention of "liberals" vs. "conservatives", "corporations" vs. "government" and other political models, one basic model always holds true - Individuals vs. Collectives.
This article gives a great detailed description of how this conflict manifests itself, with corporations and governments both being collectives that behave similarly in many ways.

So what was it that you found stupid?
To: missileboy
The premise that a government is a corporation.

What about the comparison of governments to corporations do you disagree with, save the primary difference that was mentioned in the article?

Good news: death, taxes, and giant government bureaucracies won't exist in Christ's coming Kingdom. Just make sure your eternal salvation is secure, because this life is but a puff of smoke.
John 7:7
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
John 12:25
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
John 15:18
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
John 17:14
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Interesting site by the way, it has some interesting articles such as "Martha Burk Can BITE ME!
or "Kiss my 3-Iron!"

I agree with every bit of that post. It's good to keep the big picture in mind.

How 'bout a omparison of the American Federal Government to the American Mafia?
Fight anyone who threatens their turf, including former allies.
War is merely an instrument of policy implementation
Family connections and personal favors are extraordinarily important to advance within the organization.
Many unwritten customs and protocols govern the behaviour of insiders from top to bottom, especially the code of silence (omerta) regarding any scandalous activity.
Strong prefernce for sleek black cars.
Troublemakers, like those who break or threaten to break omerta, go "missing" or are found dead (especially common during the time of Bill "Slick Willie" Clinton and his underboss Dick Morris).
I could go on but I think the point has been made!

I see. Thanks for your "reply".

If you haven't already guessed, the corporation I'm talking about is the United States government. Who is this? Molly Ivins?
What an absurd bunch of BS based on a manufactured "premise"!
Government and corporation are antithecal.
It's like spray painting an orange and calling it an apple!
