Out here in Oregon, it doesn't matter WHAT the Congress does....or WHAT the state legislature does...because some federal judge will overturn it...or put a stay on enactment.

The city of Portland has a neat new little law too--for some parts of the city. IF your home burns down or is destroyed by some act of nature, you can't rebuild. Because most of the city of Portland is considered...you guessed it...wetlands. Cute, no?

I'm painfully aware of what your talking about. The condensed version is that the greens acting as usful idiots of the developers use the states to get land set aside by the FED and then the land reverts back to the states in sweetheart deals for the special interests.

Check out the latest land swap in Utah as a good example. Mineral and water rights.
