The max was 6 months, and I doubt that would have been satisfactory to anyone either. Just a bit of O.J. karma comin' round. Similar escapes from justice happen every day, just not with federal agents or football hall of famers.

He could have faced 30 years in prison if a jury had convicted him of DUI manslaughter in November. But jurors cleared the former agent of the most serious charges -- convicting him only of six misdemeanors. I wish I'd sat on that jury.
