Are there REALLY chickens in these counties, even Los Angeles County?

Even "backyard chickens?"

The place must have Mexicanized much more rapidly and totally than even we thought it was...

There was a poultry virus epidemic in the Shenendoah Valley about 20 years ago. Entire chicken farms got wiped out, tens of thousands of chickens at a time.
Not knowing the cause, cautious farmers would leave a truck at the road for town use, and change their shoes when returning to their property, careful not to bring back any contamination onto the farm.

Also, No Trespassing signs were backed up with armed farmers to make sure no one came onto their land.

Bad news. This will be Davis' Richard Nixon--everything that goes on from earthquakes to crime to the economy will now be blamed, falsely, yet more or less successfully, on Newcastle.
