I live in NYC too, and my sense is that people here do not ridicule Bush the way they did pre-9-11, and that while he could by no means ever come close to winning NYC, he will keep the percentages down and could therefore take the state. Too many people will carry those vivid memories of that day and his actions here -- I have noticed especially among some Jewish associates of mine, they have a much different attitude toward Bush than they did before the attack.

Ed Koch was on the news yesterday, praising President Bush, saying what a great job he was doing for the country and New York, and he was going to vote for him.
