I have to disagree - President Bush made a campaign promise that he would do his best to bring both sides of the aisle together in a non-partisan cooperation. That's exactly what he tried to do with a quid-pro-quo set of agreements. The only problem is that there is no honor among the DemocRats

------------------------

Gee, it took you and Bush until recently to know that? I knew it more than 40 years ago. The last person I want to hear from is an idiot who believes he is going to have a love-in with the Democrats. The omly way it's possible is to sell your soul and the soul of the nation.

Oh, if only you, RLK, with your blinding intellect, leadership qualities, and general air of optimism, were President! I know that we would be SO much better off, and that you would exhibit a degree of success and leadership, coupled with incisive comments, such as the world has never seen.

It is mystifying to me how President Bush could actually believe that the Democrats would ever, for any reason, put aside "partisan political differences." It would be akin to a cripple giving up his wheelchair.

In Bush's world, honorable gentlemen put aside political differences for causes higher than themselves. But to the hard left, all that exists is The Agenda. Nothing else matters. The survival of America and freedom as we know it are just distractions. People like Tom Daschle get up every morning solely to gather and use political power.

Obviously, you are not nearly as smart as George W. Bush. After Traitor Jeffords gave Senate control to daschle, who then proved to be the two-faced partisan 'Rat we all (including Dubya) knew him to be, Bush understood that everything-- tax and fiscal policies, judicial nominations, winning the war on terror --depended solely on regaining control of the Senate and holding on to the House. He did it.

If Dubya was only as smart as you are, then we would be looking at a Senate solidly controlled by the 'Rats and Speaker Gephardt in the House. That's okay. You are only one of many, many people who misunderestimate just what this man is all about.
