Why? It follows the same Bush doctrine of making the dims knee-jerk and expose themselves and overplay their hands; again, and again, and again....... I think it is brilliant.

Pickering is not a racist. To cave on him because of the Lott fiasco would not be what Bush is about.

(A) following up on the apparent abandonment of Mississippi's Lott with support of another of their own
(B) refuting any "racism" tendencies
(C) forcing the Dem's hand exposing them to Racism charges
(D) challenging them and setting HIS agenda not their's.
