I know it is. But this person is definately trying to find something on Frist. This just shows at what lengths the liberal media will go to. What he did doctors have done for generations.

How dare he even stand in the same room with the Skipper of the S.S.Oldsmobile!

I love this.
This article, and granted, I could only read about half of it, made me ill. More condescending liberal clap trap.
I'm a dyed in the wool cat lover, have been since I was thirteen, but I'm also a realist.
Bill Frist was not some serial killer in training killing cats for the thrill of it. Sure, it's a little unseemly that he went to shelters, but he was trying to advance medical research.
How come the ends justify the means ONLY when you're a liberal democrat?

This is their best shot at Bill Frist? Bwahahahahahah!!
There is only one thing that needs to be noticed in this article.
3rd paragraph from the top: "they'd run out of cats to dissect at the medical school"
They were cutting up cats anyway!!
And I'll bet they were getting them from shelters or from breeders or from "cat farms" that raised them for JUST THAT PURPOSE!!
Now, everyone answer this question: What do they do with CATS at an animal shelter IF NO ONE adopts them?

Yea, imagine a man who loves human beings more than animals.
Very refreshing.
(this article does sound like a joke)
To: areafiftyone
I'm told they taste just like chicken.
To: areafiftyone
I don't suppose the writer could be asked to cut his article open, lift out its heart, and just show us that?
Naw.
I love cats. But I also recognize that if we're going to have heart surgeons, they're going to have to practice, and unless we want them going to the HOMELESS shelters and bringing home humans, there will have to be animal experimentation. He was in the middle of a research project and is an ambitious person--he didn't want to flunk the project for lack of research subjects. And I HATE the pretense that these animals were going to be going to loving homes. Odds are GOOD they were going to be executed...without doing ANYONE any good at all.
I have kitties and I have a heart rhythm abnormality. I wouldn't give my pets up to train a surgeon to save my life...but I sure as heck want him well practiced before he cuts on and drugs my heart. If that means he has to kill some of the millions of non-pets that are going to be killed anyway, so be it.

Yeah... Too many idiocies to comment on them all. Let me just focus on one. On more than one occasion, the author refers to "poor shivering creatures in their cages". Sounds to me like those vaunted animal shelters are violating the rights of those poor creatures by keeping them in substandard conditions. First of all, why are those cruel animal shelter operators keeping them in cages. But more importantly, why do they keep the kittens shivering there? Doesn't Fluffy deserve better treatment from those cruel animal shelter operators? I demand an investigation. But wait, do you mean that those cruel animal shelter operators are well-intentioned Democrats? Oh, never mind...

I didn't bother looking at the source before I read this. I kept thinking to myself "That Onion really cracks me up". When I looked at the source afterward it was even funnier.

Personally I am a dog lover but I like cats too. When I was in high school we dissected a cat. It was not something I liked, but I understood why they did it. Apparently the advancement of medicine means nothing to this idiot. Frist seems to be extremely intelligent if he had his own ideas about a medical breakthrough. Puts Clinton to shame!!
To: areafiftyone
Well, Frist took care of 1 out of the 2 items this stupid liberal asked for on his first day.

so he'd go to animal shelters, make goo-goo eyes at a cat at each shelter to get them to let him adopt the shivering strays And what would the animal shelter do with unclaimed strays?
The Leftists attempts to continue with their personal destruction tactics would be laughable, if there were not som many idiots who fall for it.

I thought this was an article about his ability to HERD CATS (the Democrats in Congress) LOL.
I think I can forgive him for his CAT experiments LOL.

Apropos of nothing you should read P.J. O'Rourke's book Eat the Rich, in which he describes a veterinary school in (I think) Albania...in which thieves had stolen an entire herd of cattle overnight. Also the desks and chairs in the classrooms.

when his claim to fame was as a heart-transplant pioneer and head of a big hospital and health-care corporation.
there is the line you should take notice the dems will use this attack angle to go after frist The cats story will not fly. Im med school during atls we euthanized stray dog and cats to practice chest tubes and emergency tracheotomy's it a common practice
