A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 1/7/03

As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

It sounds like a lot of American voters are going to ignore what the Dems are saying and realize that Dubya is the right choice when it comes election night. They will figure out that he is good for America and that everything he says he will do, he does! They will realize that he is a regular guy, who wants to help the regular people. He's not some fancy schamncy lawyer pretending to be for the regular people.

Cookies are little dealies that some web site owners drop into your internet browser when you open their sites. They do various things: I believe the main purpose is to identify you. Free Republic drops a cookie into your browser so the software knows your PC when you open the FR home page, so you don't have to sign in again.

Some not-so-scrupulous web site owners will track your movements around the web once they have inserted a cookie into your browser. Why? In some instances, especially web sites that sell stuff, it's to find out where else you shop. But more than just harmless use can be made of the information, so it's good to clean them out regularly. Besides, your browser has to drag around a lot of information from site to site if you don't clean them out.

I'd say we're about ready. Ready or not.... "Here we come"! Yep and the Dems think we should call it all off and take care of North Korea first ..

No matter WHAT the issue Bush presents, even defending the dems' sorry patooties from death by terrorism, they try to change the subject and say The New Subject is vastly more important.

They are very confused. Blinded by the light.

"the NK better hope that they don't get the HTIC riled up. I have a feeling that once Iraq is dealt with, that NK will get in line."

Your comment made me think -- I surmise that NK is acting belligerent because they know they're either next or third in line after Iraq is dealt with, so they may be throwing dustclods around to forestall us, thinking our government is so afraid of a two-theater war that we'll do nothing (which is what the majority of dems seem to crave).

They are very confused. Blinded by the light.

They are power hungry and want to regain power no matter what and that includes loosing this war with Iraq

Just goes to show just how little the Rats care about this country, the american people and most of all the brave men and women that are serving this country and protecting our butts ..

I didn't know that C. Mathews was suddenly such a fan of Hillary's! I do remember that after that speech Bush did after 9-11, and Hillary acted so disgracefuly; Chris Mathews acted like he was disgusted!

He had in his column an article where he thought Hillary was only concerned about the America she wanted it to become, the America SHE wanted, not what it was. He always brings up Democrat figures in the past, and compares Hillary unfavorably to them.

He sure didn't act like he liked her at all! He also had a couple of really complimentary articles on GWB. I don't know, but maybe someone is pushing him to behave, in order to keep his show? Who knows?

Repubican National Convention going to be held in New York City

The really fun part was when former Democrat New York mayor Ed Koch told Judy Woodruff on CNN that he really liked President Bush and might vote for him in 2004.

we all write "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the back of all our mail.

Tee Hee, what a fun idea. I'll certainly do it on anything I send to Texas!

My letter carrier was so upset by the November election results that he stopped delivering my mail for three days till I called the post office and asked where my mail was. It must really bug him to deliver all the RNC and Republican candidate letters, NRA magazines, Army magazines, etc! And then seven Christmas cards from Republican candidates and the White House. Giggle!

How about someone seeing if they can print up a little seal saying "In God We Trust", like Easter seals that you stick on the back of your mail? I'd buy some.

It's not only the national motto, it's on my family crest, "Confido in Domino," so I would love to buy some stamps/seals with that written on them.

they will be constantly off-guard because they won't know what's going to be next.

The Thousand Points of Fight strategery.

Before they can get the funding and voices together to oppose one Bush proposal, he has dropped another one in their laps. Tee Hee!

Judy Woodruff about had a stroke and her earpiece shorted out as the control room tried to figure out a way to counter that statement.

She finally said, "If Hillary Clinton were in the race wouldn't you vote for her?"

And Koch said, "That's hypothetical. I take her at her word that she isn't running."

Letter to Prez. My two cents.

Don't send a picture. That might be misinterpreted to make them think you are a groupie, which, of course, we all are, but not in the way some think.

Don't bother buying stationery unless you are going to do something nice with it, like write your Mom and Grandma occasionally also and send out thank you notes.

Make it short, with the two or three things you most want to say.

It will more likely get read and replied to individually if you send it to Laura Bush, but if you do then you have to pare your list to one thing you want her to tell the Prez and substitute two nice things to say to her about her.

P.S. One of the several things I've regretted in my life was that I didn't use the opportunity in college to study and learn more with all the resources available there. I have an excuse, that I was sick a lot with low energy due to a congenital immune deficiency, but I'm not sure being stricken with BushBot Fever is a valid excuse for blowing a real life opportunity.

Ready or not.... "Here we come"!

I am praying that Saddam's top military and party members will escort him to the border in return for immunity and comfortable exile for themselves.

Yes, the CIC is getting positioned to attack, and he will if necessary; but I think Dubya is also praying for a peaceful solution and using the full court press to help convince them that their death or trial is inevitable if they don't make this peaceful solution happen.

And it may be to this end, the full court press, that the French as well have to Brits have alerted their troops to be ready.

Laura prefers his hair longer and curly, like when they met. So he often will not cut it while they have their get away vacation and holiday times together.

"Is that really Daley?"

I think that is his brother. I think the Daley who was Gore's campaign manager and the mayor of Chicago are brothers, not the same person.
