As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I re-read the Dose this afternoon, and it had me laughing the entire way. Boy did we have fun last night. We also talked about some serious things too.
I missed the speech today. Could anyone fill me in on the highlights?

I heard some statement from Daley, and he was promoting the President's plan 100% - said it was the greatest thing he had ever heard.
I think he better inform his dem leadership!!

Speech Highlights:
America is strong...
The war will be won...
All kinds of taxes will be cut...
...too ambiguous?
