As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

But when he has on some people like that wicked witch Katrina - I recoil in horror. She is some kind of miserable b!tch. When she came on my hubby told me to stop yelling at the TV before the kids think I really lost it .. FOFL

Remember the saying, "Beauty is as beauty does"? I really think women (and I guess men too) who live bitter, hateful lives eventually end up looking like that dark inner self. All Helen is doing is showing what she is on the inside.

Everyone who is not on welfare (according to a demo friend of mine) is rich. I'd like a few single working mothers to comment on her statement.

Mrs. Bush said most Americans might be surprised that she and the president still talk to their twin daughters every day, no matter what crisis is transpiring. "We call them, or they call us," she said. "Sometimes we just get their answering machines. And especially if it's the president calling, he'll say, 'I'm just calling in to say I love you.' And leave his 'I love you' message."
But But ... I thought Peggy said he was afraid of his children ..

That Peggy Noonan article was a little whacky. She probably was still sleeping off the bubbly stuff from New Years when she wrote that. As the kids would say, "As if !!"

I just have to tell you all that I am glad that I found this place. I want to thank you all for keepind me informed and updated on all of the important (and not so important) stuff that happens in our government on a daily basis. And not only do you keep me informed, but you give me an un-biased report. Ok, maybe not always un-biased, but at least I agree with your opinions. Everyone here is unique and great. I consider you all friends. Thanks for being you.
I just needed to let you all know that somebody appreciates you.

Could you imagine a cross between Helen Thomas and Madeline Albright? It'd be about 2 foot tall and have chin whiskers for sure!!! LOL! Let's not clone or mate these two, ok? North Korea loves Albright and clinton loves Thomas...that about says it all.

All due respect ot Miss Marple cause I love her but never take anyone's word for any book. Read it and deside for yourself. Everyone looks for and see different good and bad in a book. For every person here who did not like Bush at War there were just as many that did. Always make up your own mine. End of parental lecture!!!

I'm writing a letter to the President tomorrow, and since you have written a few, I would like to aske for some advice.
Should I use stationary instead of plain white paper? Any suggestions on stationary?
Should I send a copy to Mrs. Bush in hopes that she will receive it quicker and pass it on to her husband?
Should I send him a picture so he can put a face with a name?
Any advice would be appreciated!
