We usedta ride ponies bareback, but always rode horses with saddles...better fer the horse's and better fer my butt...LOL!!

Very true.... although when I learned to ride, my size was not so much a concern for the comfort of the horse. I was a little kid, and my teacher was a patient Appaloosa who had taught many before me!
