This morning on the Lee Rodgers Show on KSFO, I heard an interview with Paul Mulshine who wrote a December 1999 article
Happy Kwanzaa, on the background of Ron Karenga. I read the article and then, for kicks, pulled up Savage's January 2000 piece from Newsmax
How Kwanzaa Cons You. I must say, I'm surprised at how shamelessly Savage stole from Mulshine's piece (I didn't realize it at the time). I especially like how Savage referred to "my research." Pretty darn close to plagiarism, if you ask me.
Anyway, I'm not bashing Savage, I listen to him often. I was just surpised.

i'll listen to ya asap...check the guy who said mike should be called pass the buck savage and then went on to say that if we want to be the world's police man that "we should just get along with everybody."
the guy sounds like Rodney King, can't we all just get along?
Of course, you can't get along with people who refuse to get along with you.
i swear, just listening to what transpired on talbacklive on cnn makes me feel dumber. just listening to barkley and that audience is making me stupid. the show sounds way too much like jenny jones to me.
barkley's toast!

my god charles! this chump can't even speak! how can this guy ever get a mike in his ugly mug? i want to cry except for the fact that i NEVER watch talkbacklive because it is just sooooo bad.
Also, with a lame, dead-end job, there's no way i can schedule my life around a mid-day tv show.
charles barkley just lost any election bid he might've ever hoped to achieve IF he wanted to run as a republican.
savage can now go on to bigger and better things, barkley is done in politics no matter how much tv time they give him.

I emailed CNN stating that I was going to boycott their advertisers. From the looks of their audience it is no wonder why their ratings suck. They interview morons whos opinion means as much to me as Saddam Hussein. If you guys could email CNN stating that you are going to boycott their advertisers for Talk Back Live.

what's funny is that us members of the savage nation are totally angry when we're the only ones who are watching the show! nobody watches that show at that time in my opinion. savage has a much larger audience than that show does.

CNN's viewership probably went up when they said they were having Savage, I never watch that show and I was somewhat surprised at its format. I taped the show as well as the H&C show the other night, I could make copies if you want to send a blank tape.

I'm here and listening for you!!
I heard the CNN excerpts ... THERE IS A TRANSCRIPT OF THIS ON ANOTHER THREAD!! That lady who interviewed Michael started off pretty well, I thought!
I have something to say about Charles Barkley and the way he and his thug basketball buddies acted here in Phoenix. They raped a girl, and she told her story to a small newspaper here in the Valley. That was several years ago, tho, and it probably has all been forgotten and swept under the rug.

Yes! There is a transcript on a separate thread here on FR today! I don't do links with this WebTV, but saw it a while ago. It has all the verbal exchanges from start to finish.
Please do a search for "Savage ... CNN" and you will see the thread.

I'd definently take a copy Freepmail me with details. I didn't watch the shows but I did listen to the radio show tonight and was enraged. I got even more mad because I had to listen to a station with a lot of static because of the stupid bulls game.

I'm listening to Savage right now and he's playing back what happened on Talkback Live. I thought he did well in hostile territory.
Now the bad news. There is another thread about this on the FR going on right now. Apparently some of our fellow Freepers have said bad things about Savage and good things about Barkley. I just can't believe it. Is that thread for the Country Club Republicans?
I'd like to pick a fight over there but I have to get up early tommorrow.

Nah, only on Friday can I manage to sneak in a late run with Savage. However, for some reason at about 5:45 the show goes really fuzzy and you can barely hear him. I have emailed the station and asked why and if they could fix it. I never did get a response but for some reason they mailed me 2 bumper stickers! Not sure what that was all about.

Thursday Ping!
To: riri
The bumper stickers were the stations way of saying "we can't help with our signal, but help advertise for us anyway". Put the stickers in a provocative place on your jogging uniform on Fridays.
To: BUSHdude2000
LOL. I'll have to check but not too sure provocative places still exist.
