Then please declare - for the very first time - exactly what your position is.
You have been disingenuously avoiding stating your case for a long time. Out with it.
For the second time. I guess you missed it the first time.

Ireneaus seems to be quite certain of his statements. At the very least, it opens the door to the possibility that Jesus' ministry lasted longer than three years and that Jesus lived longer than we are led to believe.

It is you who has been disingenuous with your Ireneaus is reputable EXCEPT for his comments about the length of Jesus' ministry and age!
He 'might' be correct. Yet, you are unwilling to even entertain that possibility. We do not know for a fact that he is wrong.
The very people that compiled the scriptures which you say are inerrant and thus valued over other writings, are the same group of people that kept changing WHICH books should be allowed into the bible. If they were so divinely inspired why did they place a book in, then later remove that book, then later still re-add the book? And if they all were divinely inspired they would have all agreed on the same books to be included. But instead disputes over various books went on for centuries and in some cases still continue. These FALLIBLE people that gathered what THEY wanted to decree as 'scripture' may have made errors.
Could Ireneaus be wrong? Sure. But, he could be correct, too. Perhaps he didn't 'opine' in error as you said in an earlier post.
